Day 1 - Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha after breakfast, drive roughly 2.5 hours to Tarangire. Full-day game drive among Tarangire's massive elephant herds, baobab-studded landscape, and (dry season) large concentrations of zebra, wildebeest and buffalo. Overnight at a tented camp near the park.
Day 2 - Tarangire to Ngorongoro Highlands
Morning game drive, then drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at your crater-rim lodge in time to watch the sunset over the caldera. Overnight on the crater rim.
Day 3 - Ngorongoro Crater Floor & Return to Arusha
Descend into the crater at dawn for a full morning game drive — your best chance at spotting all of the Big Five in a single day, plus flamingo-lined Lake Magadi. Picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend in the afternoon, and drive back to Arusha, arriving early evening.
